Effect of voltage polarity on icicles grown on line insulators / M. Farzaneh, Jean-Louis Laforte.

Title: Effect of voltage polarity on icicles grown on line insulators / M. Farzaneh, Jean-Louis Laforte.
Author(s): Farzaneh, M.
Laforte, Jean-Louis.
Date: 1992.
Publisher: Golden, CO: International Society of Offshore and Polar Engineers (ISOPE)
In: Proceedings of the Second (1992) International Offshore and Polar Engineering Conference. Vol. 2. (1992.),
Abstract: Study of porosity and crystal texture of icicles formed around insulators energized by positive, negative and alternating applied voltages. Observations were made by microscope of cross-sections of these icicles, which were grown at --12°C.
Notes:

In: The proceedings of the Second (1992) International Offshore and Polar Engineering Conference. Vol. 2 / Michael S. Triantafyllou, Jin S. Chung, Karel Karal, Alfred L. Tunik, eds.

Keywords: 624.14 -- Snow and ice engineering.
624.142 -- Low temperature effects.
621.3 -- Electrical engineering.
621.315.1 -- Electric cables, overhead.
