Abstract: Identifies most important properties (variables) of domestic policy processes affecting Antarctic politics, considering three levels of interaction: domestic process of societal organisations trying to influence foreign policy of key Antarctic states; international process of these states grappling with Antarctic challenges; and transnational process of societal organisations forming international links to maximise influence on international deliberations of ATS. Illustrates approach with examination of rise of environmental issues on Antarctic agenda.
