| Abstract: | Presents calculations of three separate tracer ratio-based mass ages (CCl₄/F11, tritium/³He and F11/F12) for 1987 oceanographic section by RV Polarstern across Nansen Basin. Age ranges are shown in good agreement. Simple box model shows that for CCl₄/F11 and tritium/³He ages less than 12 years, apparent ages should be close to mean age of water sampled. Distribution of tracer ages is discussed with respect to circulation of water masses in Nansen Basin. |
