| Abstract: | Contains nine individually-authored reports of oceanographic, biological, geological and geophysical research conducted during 1987 voyage of RV Polarstern, which penetrated as far north as Gakkel Ridge in central eastern Arctic basin (86° 11′ N). Reports cover: upper waters, halocarbon and tritium dating of waters, internal waves and mixing, distribution of dominant copepods in summer, recent distribution of planktonic foraminifera, diatom assemblages in Arctic sea-ice, origin of sediment pellets from Arctic sea-floor, stratigraphy of late Quaternary ocean sediments and foraminiferal amino acid stratigraphy of Nordic Seas. |
