Record #119286:

An Archean metamorphic core complex in the southern Slave Province: basement-cover structural relations between the Sleepy Dragon Complex and the Yellowkife Supergroup / Donald T. James, James K. Mortensen.

Title: An Archean metamorphic core complex in the southern Slave Province: basement-cover structural relations between the Sleepy Dragon Complex and the Yellowkife Supergroup / Donald T. James, James K. Mortensen.
Author(s): James, Donald T.
Mortensen, James K.
Date: 1992.
In: Canadian Journal of Earth Sciences. (1992.), Vol. 29(10) (1992)
Abstract: Examines stratigraphic and structural relations between tectonically juxtaposed lithotectonic domains (one supracrustal, one gneiss-granite) in northern Canada. Both domains were affected by Late Archean tectonothermal event and are separated by regionally, persistent, ductile to local brittle, Late Archean high-strain zone. In special issue containing papers presented at symposium The tectonic evolution of the Superior and Slave provinces of the Canadian Shield.
