Abstract: Glacial and non-glacial (control) lakes are used to reconstruct continuous record of Holocene glacier variations from ¹⁴C-dated glacio-lacustrine sediments in four distal glacial lakes. All glaciers reached neoglacial maxima during Little Ice Age. Pattern implies response to fluctuating but generally deteriorating climate during Middle to Late Holocene.
