| Abstract: | Using cross-cutting relationships and other morphological criteria, glacial and glaciofluvial landforms formed during Late Weichselian recession were discriminated and mapped separately from landforms from older glacial events. Ice sheet was largely cold-based; only limited zones reached thawed-bed conditions during deglaciation. Evidence indicates temporary halt in recession of pre-Late Weichselian west-centred ice sheet. |
