Record #119197:

Does the Greenland ice sheet mass balance remember the ice age? / H. Blatter, A. Ohnura, Ayako Abe-Ouchi.

Title: Does the Greenland ice sheet mass balance remember the ice age? / H. Blatter, A. Ohnura, Ayako Abe-Ouchi.
Author(s): Blatter, H.
Ohnura, A.
Abe-Ouchi, Ayako.
Date: 1992.
In: Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1992.), Vol. 73(43, fall meeting supplement) (1992)
Abstract: Abstract only. Estimates long-term response of ice topography and temperature to combination of climatic and mechanical changes at end of last ice age, using two-dimensional ice-sheet model. Results indicate that ice sheet at present may increase in thickness in interior by 0.01 m a⁻¹. Ice thickness responds within few thousand years to increase of precipitation, whereas it takes <10 ka to adjust to temperature change.
