Abstract: Abstract only. Measurements made with airborne laser altimeter over Jakobshavn Isbrae, Greenland, in September 1991 and April 1992 in order to assess altimetry as tool for measuring rates of thickening and thinning of ice sheets, with full analysis of associated errors. Data collected reveals potential of this technique.
