Date: 1992.
In: Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1992.), Vol. 73(43, fall meeting supplement) (1992)
Abstract: Abstract only. Nourishment and ablation were analyzed using model of mass exchange for some glaciers in Tyan' Shan', Tibet, and northern slopes of Himalayas. Most glaciers studied had negative mass balance, illustrating general trend in Central Asia. Estimates that over past 150 to 200 years mean air temperature in northern Tyan' Shan' has risen 0.9°C in summer and annual precipitation has decreased 100 to 150 mm.
