| Abstract: | Abstract only. Describes use of gauge on Xiao Dongkemadi glacier since 1989; records glacier surface level with photographic paper which is exposed to light penetrating fibre glass sensors above surface. In May 1992, new sensor was added at upper and lower parts of glacier: this detects surface levels with photoelectric sensors as digital data every hour. |
