Methane in permafrost - comparison of frozen and thawed ground / T.D. Lorenson, Keith A. Kvenvolden, M.R. Lilly.

Title: Methane in permafrost - comparison of frozen and thawed ground / T.D. Lorenson, Keith A. Kvenvolden, M.R. Lilly.
Author(s): Lorenson, T. D.
Kvenvolden, Keith A.
Lilly, M. R.
Date: 1992.
In: Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1992.), Vol. 73(43, fall meeting supplement) (1992)
Abstract: Abstract only. Presents results from investigation of shallow (maximum depth: 9.5 m) cores drilled in 1991 and 1992 at four sites in Fairbanks, AK, where discontinuous permafrost is common. Affirms variability of methane contents of permafrost and suggests that thawed ground can be source of methane.
