Abstract: Presents survey, including coverage and cost, of digital elevation models of Earth's land surface that exist in public domain. To be included, data should be available to public in general, obtainable from specific identified institution, and to have determined cost. In USA and Australia, data are available at cost, at around 3000 km² per pound sterling. In remaining countries, data are available from mapping agencies at various prices: total cost is identified at 1,688,312.
