Record #119082:

Eastern Arctic-Barents Sea tidal and inertial motion from ARGOS ice buoys during CEAREX / Carol H. Pease, James E. Overland, P. Turet, Robert S. Pritchard.

Title: Eastern Arctic-Barents Sea tidal and inertial motion from ARGOS ice buoys during CEAREX / Carol H. Pease, James E. Overland, P. Turet, Robert S. Pritchard.
Author(s): Pease, Carol H.
Overland, James E.
Turet, P.
Pritchard, Robert S.
Date: 1992.
In: Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1992.), Vol. 73(43, fall meeting supplement) (1992)
Abstract: Abstract only. As part of Coordinated Eastern Arctic Experiment in Barents Sea in autumn 1988 and early winter 1989, six ARGOS buoys were deployed on ice floes to obtain ice-motion data for estimating large-scale ice deformation (including tidal and inertial components). Results are analyzed; they suggest that technique of constrained least squares method is valuable for recovering wide range of motions and strains from irregularly time-spaced Lagrangian data.
Notes:
