Record #119077:

Airborne laser/GPS altimetry for determining glacier volume changes / Keith A. Echelmeyer, William D. Harrison, C. Larsen, J. DeMallie, Craig S. Lingle, J.E. Mitchell.

Title: Airborne laser/GPS altimetry for determining glacier volume changes / Keith A. Echelmeyer, William D. Harrison, C. Larsen, J. DeMallie, Craig S. Lingle, J.E. Mitchell.
Author(s): Echelmeyer, Keith A.
Harrison, William D.
Larsen, C.
DeMallie, J.
Lingle, Craig S.
Mitchell, J. E.
Date: 1992.
In: Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1992.), Vol. 73(43, fall meeting supplement) (1992)
Abstract: Abstract only. Thinning of temperate glaciers may contribute to ongoing rise in sea level. To test this, lightweight airborne profiling system was devised which measures volume changes of valley glaciers in mountainous terrain. System is described; preliminary results from Alaskan glaciers are presented.
Notes:
