Record #119069:

Ice sheet mass balance from satellite altimetry / H. Jay Zwally, T.C. Seiss, A.C. Brenner, J. DeMarzio.

Title: Ice sheet mass balance from satellite altimetry / H. Jay Zwally, T.C. Seiss, A.C. Brenner, J. DeMarzio.
Author(s): Zwally, H. Jay.
Seiss, T. C.
Brenner, A. C.
DeMarzio, J.
Date: 1992.
In: Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1992.), Vol. 73(43, fall meeting supplement) (1992)
Abstract: Abstract only. Detection of changes in surface elevation are related to mass balance. Radar altimeter data from Greenland and Antarctica, acquired by Seasat in 1978 and by Geosat from 1985 to 1989, are analyzed by orbital crossover analysis. Average changes in height of ice surface as function of time were obtained, also height changes relative to nearby ice regions and to sea level. Seasonal changes in elevation caused by seasonal changes in surface mass balance are described.
