Record #118825:

Sculpted bedrock forms along the Niagara escarpment, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario / Keith J. Tinkler, Ronald E. Stenson.

Title: Sculpted bedrock forms along the Niagara escarpment, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario / Keith J. Tinkler, Ronald E. Stenson.
Author(s): Tinkler, Keith J.
Stenson, Ronald E.
Date: 1992.
In: Géographie Physique et Quaternaire. (1992.), Vol. 46(2) (1992)
Abstract: Assemblages of subglacial fluted bedrock forms (p-forms) are identified. Scale is much larger than previously recorded for glacial bedrock features on peninsula, and it is suggested that there is continuous spectrum of forms from small obstacle marks through ridges and furrows to large promontories. Sculpting is attributed to fast flowing subglacial meltwater.
