| Abstract: | In 1990 large settlement of Barnacle Geese, Branta leucopsis, was discovered in salt marsh grassland on Poluostrov Kanin (Nenetskiy Avtonomnyy Okrug), also three nests of Brent Goose, Branta b. bernicla were found at edge of Barnacle Geese colonies. Discusses factors contributing to this recent successful colonisation and to present-day expansion of Barnacle Goose breeding range. |
