Abstract: Tensile creep tests were carried out on polycrystalline fresh-water ice at --10°C at several stress levels up to fracture. Original average grain size of specimens was 0.86 mm. State variable of damage during creep was evaluated according to Chaboche's definition. Curves of creep deformation and state variable of damage versus time are presented and material parameters for creep damage model are determined. Methodologies are discussed.
