Title: Penguin chicks in their cold environment / A.J. Beintema.
Author(s): Beintema, A. J.

Abstract: Development of thermoregulation in chinstrap (Pygoscelis antarctica) and macaroni penguin (Eudyptes chrysolophus) chicks studied using two methods: cooling rates of chicks of different ages measured by subjecting chick to cold and measuring body temperature at intervals; and remote measurement during normal nest care by means of implanted radio transmitter. Subjects studied at King George Island.
