| Abstract: | Describes design of innovative bucket, which cuts and rips through frozen ground as lip teeth and set of staggered teeth attached to back of bucket move through arc during bucket rotation. Large variation in excavation rates was observed, depending on material type, frost thickness, sharpness of cutters and operator experience. |
