Altimetric gravity anomalies in the Norwegian-Greenland Sea: preliminary results from the ERS-1 35 days repeat mission / Per Knudsen, Ole Baltazar Andersen, C. Christian Tscherning.
Title: | Altimetric gravity anomalies in the Norwegian-Greenland Sea: preliminary results from the ERS-1 35 days repeat mission / Per Knudsen, Ole Baltazar Andersen, C. Christian Tscherning. |
Author(s): | Knudsen, Per. Andersen, Ole Baltazar. Tscherning, C. Christian. |
Date: | 1992. |
In: | Geophysical Research Letters. (1992.), Vol. 19(17) (1992) |
Abstract: | Analyses and maps gravity field in Norwegian-Greenland Sea. Area north of 72° is of particular interest since beyond northern limit of Seasat and Geosat altimetry and associated field recovery. Recovered gravity field shown to correlate exclusively with major geological structures confirming potential of new ERS-1 altimeter data. |
Notes: | Geophysical Research Letters. Vol. 19(17) :1795-1798 (1992). |
Keywords: | 53.087.23 -- Remote sensing. 629.783 -- Satellites: ERS-1. 550.3 -- Geophysics. 550.831 -- Gravity survey methods. 551.1/.4(26) -- Marine geology. A -- Geophysical sciences (general).
