Abstract: Displacement of large model pile embedded in frozen soil and subjected to lateral loads was analyzed using modified version of PILED/G software developed by GEOSOFT to account for creep. Relationship p-y utilized by program was replaced by p-y-t relationships developed from pressurementer tests carried out in frozen sand. Comparisons were then made between observed data and data generated by modified program. Method appears to be promising.
