Record #117948:

Modelling of the drag force on an ice keel / M. Jameel, R.D. Rowe, D.R. Topham.

Title: Modelling of the drag force on an ice keel / M. Jameel, R.D. Rowe, D.R. Topham.
Author(s): Jameel, M.
Rowe, R. D.
Topham, D. R.
Date: 1992.
Publisher: New York: American Society of Mechanical Engineers
In: Proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Offshore Mechanics and Arctic Engineering - 1992. Presented ... Calgary, Alberta, Canada, June 7-12, 1992. Vol. 4 - Arctic/polar technology. (1992.),
Abstract: Study focused on nature of two-layer stratified flows under isolated keel. Very good agreement was found between experimental and numerical results for interface shape between fluids and drag force on various keels. Present finite difference technique is shown to be effective in modelling such flows.
