Record #117941:

Performance of an offset evaporative thermosyphon / G.S.H. Lock, Jialin Fu.

Title: Performance of an offset evaporative thermosyphon / G.S.H. Lock, Jialin Fu.
Author(s): Lock, G. S. H.
Fu, Jialin.
Date: 1992.
Publisher: New York: American Society of Mechanical Engineers
In: Proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Offshore Mechanics and Arctic Engineering - 1992. Presented ... Calgary, Alberta, Canada, June 7-12, 1992. Vol. 4 - Arctic/polar technology. (1992.),
Abstract: Used to stabilize frozen ground beneath structures. Laboratory experiments were conducted for cranked configuration with evaporator and condenser aligned vertically. Heat transfer rates were much higher than those found under single-phase conditions. Critical heat fluxes were mush lower than in equivalent linear system. Various temperature parameters are discussed.
