Record #117918:

δ¹⁸O time-slice reconstruction of meltwater anomalies at termination I in the North Atlantic between 50 and 80°N / M. Sarnthein, and 8 others.

Title: δ¹⁸O time-slice reconstruction of meltwater anomalies at termination I in the North Atlantic between 50 and 80°N / M. Sarnthein, and 8 others.
Author(s): Sarnthein, M.
Date: 1992.
Publisher: Berlin: Springer
In: Last deglaciation : absolute and radiocarbon chronologies. (1992.),
Abstract: Reconstructs surface-water palaeoceanography of Norwegian and Greenland seas and northern North Atlantic by means of time-calibrated planktonic δ¹⁸O records, which show complex variations in sea-surface temperatures and salinities. Salinities are especially variable in high latitudes where advection of fresh water from rivers and melting ice sheets occurs. Five time slices identified are: last glacial maximum between 14.8/15.2 and 17.0/18.5 ka BP, and 13.6, 12.3, 10.6, and 9.0 ka BP.
