| Abstract: | Continuous depositional record from this lake provides palaeoenvironmental data for reconstruction and dating of Younger Dryas litho- and biozones. Varve ages differ from recent efforts to calibrate radiocarbon years, so it is necessary to obtain set of AMS ¹⁴C dates on terrestrial plant remains from lake sediments, and also to replicate varve counting on additional sediment cores from same and other lakes. |
