| Abstract: | This time scale now covers 11,340 varve years, representing post- and finiglacial varve series and last 900 varves of gotiglacial series (Stockholm-Södermanland varves). Gotiglacial varve series contains 2400 varve years along Swedish south-east coast to north-east Skåne; this means that length of Swedish time scale from earliest deglaciation of Kristianstad plain to north-east Skåne up to 1950 AD is at least 12,800 varve years. Discusses attempts to correlate varve chronology and ¹⁴C time scale. |
