Record #117870:

[Radiative temperature of ice surface in Svalbard, 1991] / Shuhei Takahashi, Hiroyuki Enomoto, Shun'ichi Kobayashi, Kumiko Azuma.

Title: [Radiative temperature of ice surface in Svalbard, 1991] / Shuhei Takahashi, Hiroyuki Enomoto, Shun'ichi Kobayashi, Kumiko Azuma.
Author(s): Takahashi, Shuhei.
Enomoto, Hiroyuki.
Kobayashi, Shun'ichi.
Azuma, Kumiko.
Date: 1992.
Publisher: Mombetsu: Okhotsk Sea & Cold Ocean Research Association
Language: Japanese.
In: Seventh International Symposium on Okhotsk Sea & Sea Ice; abstracts; 2-5 February 1992, Mombetsu, Hokkaido, Japan. (1992.),
Abstract: Radiative temperature of bare-ice surfaces was higher than that of snow surface, though both surface were melting with temperatures that should be 0°C. Temperature difference can be explained by difference of reflection characteristics due to condition of surface. Bare-ice surface would tend to reflect solar radiation, which snow surface would not do because of its rough surface.
Notes:

In: The Seventh International Symposium on Okhotsk Sea & Sea Ice; abstracts; 2-5 February 1992, Mombetsu, Hokkaido, Japan / Okhotsk Sea & Cold Ocean Research Association.
