Record #117853:
Ice observations in the eastern Weddell and Lazarev seas, January-March 1991 / V. Lukin, A. Provorkin.
Title: | Ice observations in the eastern Weddell and Lazarev seas, January-March 1991 / V. Lukin, A. Provorkin. |
Author(s): | Lukin, V. Provorkin, A. |
Date: | 1992. |
In: | Berichte zur Polarforschung = Reports on Polar Research. (1992.), Vol. 100 (1992) |
Abstract: | Reports observations made during third leg of ninth research cruise of RV Polarstern to Antarctica. This was planned as broad-based interdisciplinary study of hitherto unexplored south-western Weddell Sea continental shelf and margin. Observations consisted of analysis of satellite data and visual observations from ship. During this period, ice conditions were heaviest reported in 17 years since records have been made. |
