Record #117852:

On the melt rate of drifting ice heated from below / Anders Omstedt, Urban Svensson.

Title: On the melt rate of drifting ice heated from below / Anders Omstedt, Urban Svensson.
Author(s): Omstedt, Anders.
Svensson, Urban.
Date: 1992.
In: Cold Regions Science and Technology. (1992.), Vol. 21(1) (1992)
Abstract: Uses one-dimensional ice/water model with high vertical resolution to analyze melt rate of fresh and saline ice heated from below. Outer parameters, treated as given values, are ice drift, far-field water temperature and salinity, ice salinity and ice topography. Sensitivity of steady-state solutions to changes in outer parameters is investigated. Some implications for fresh and saline water bodies are discussed.
