Record #117746:

Nonrandom distribution of antlers cast by Peary caribou bulls, Melville Island, Northwest Territories / Frank L. Miller, Samuel J. Barry.

Title: Nonrandom distribution of antlers cast by Peary caribou bulls, Melville Island, Northwest Territories / Frank L. Miller, Samuel J. Barry.
Author(s): Miller, Frank L.
Barry, Samuel J.
Date: 1992.
In: Arctic. (1992.), Vol. 45(3) (1992)
Abstract: Reports quantitative investigation of antler distribution based on 1987 aerial survey. Antlers shown to have clumped rather than random distribution with numbers declining significantly with distance from coast. Argues that distribution reflects behaviour likely to maximize timely contact between rutting bulls and cows in heat.
