Abstract: Temperature measurements through rock glacier Murtél Corvatsch revealed high mean heat flow of 150 mW m⁻². Between 52 and 56 m depth, seasonal variations are observed; above and underneath this zone, temperatures have remained negative during last 4 years. In addition, zero curtain effect at same depth suggests existence of water aquifer which is active mainly in summer. Interpreted as talik at about 55 m depth. High heat flow is result of boundary conditions at surface and aquifer.
