Record #117564:

Pinatubo deepens the Antarctic ozone hole / R. Monastersky.

Title: Pinatubo deepens the Antarctic ozone hole / R. Monastersky.
Author(s): Monastersky, R.
Date: 1992.
In: Science News. (1992.), Vol. 142(17) (1992)
Abstract: Although satellite measurements of austral spring ozone depletion initially did not meet scientists' predictions of huge losses due to aerosols from volcanic eruptions, balloon measurements showed record depletion. Connections drawn with increased sulphur particles (from volcano) in lower atmospheric layers.
