Record #117465:

Diatom community response along a productivity gradient of shallow Antarctic lakes / Lars-Anders Hansson, Hannelore Håkansson.

Title: Diatom community response along a productivity gradient of shallow Antarctic lakes / Lars-Anders Hansson, Hannelore Håkansson.
Author(s): Hansson, Lars-Anders.
Håkansson, Hannelore.
Date: 1992.
In: Polar Biology. (1992.), Vol. 12(3-4) (1992)
Abstract: With aim of assessing importance of environmental variables for species composition and abundance of periphytic diatoms, presents quantification of light availability and nutrient concentration in water and sediments of 21 lakes located on Livingston, King George and James Ross islands and at Hope Bay on Antarctic Peninsula. Of 66 diatom taxa identified, distribution of 16 investigated in detail.
