Record #117454:

Effects of Antarctic sea ice biota on seeding as studied in aquarium experiments / Harri Kuosa, Bosse Norrman, Kai Kivi, Frederico Brandini.

Title: Effects of Antarctic sea ice biota on seeding as studied in aquarium experiments / Harri Kuosa, Bosse Norrman, Kai Kivi, Frederico Brandini.
Author(s): Kuosa, Harri.
Norrman, Bosse.
Kivi, Kai.
Brandini, Frederico.
Date: 1992.
In: Polar Biology. (1992.), Vol. 12(3-4) (1992)
Abstract: Concentrates on potential influence of sea ice on development of pelagic communities during spring. Experiments performed in seawater aquariums with natural seawater and seawater enriched with different types of sea ice; algal, protozoan and bacterial cell numbers followed, as well as nutrients and dissolved organic carbon (DOC) levels.
