Record #117453:

Gross and net primary production in the Scotia--Weddell Sea sector of the Southern Ocean during spring 1988 / Sylvie Mathot, Jean-Michel Dandois, Christiane Lancelot.

Title: Gross and net primary production in the Scotia--Weddell Sea sector of the Southern Ocean during spring 1988 / Sylvie Mathot, Jean-Michel Dandois, Christiane Lancelot.
Author(s): Mathot, Sylvie.
Dandois, Jean-Michel.
Lancelot, Christiane.
Date: 1992.
In: Polar Biology. (1992.), Vol. 12(2) (1992)
Abstract: Daily rates of production calculated on basis of kinetic experiments, which combined radiotracer technology and classic biochemical procedures, and by taking into account light regime, physical structure of water column, vertical distribution of chlorophyll a, and protozoan grazing pressure. Identified three distinct sub-areas: closed pack ice zone, marginal ice zone and open ocean zone.
