Diurnal tides near the Yermak Plateau / Laurie Padman, Albert J. Plueddemann, Robin D. Muench, Robert Pinkel.
Title: | Diurnal tides near the Yermak Plateau / Laurie Padman, Albert J. Plueddemann, Robin D. Muench, Robert Pinkel. |
Author(s): | Padman, Laurie. Plueddemann, Albert J. Muench, Robin D. Pinkel, Robert. |
Date: | 1992. |
In: | Journal of Geophysical Research. (1992.), Vol. 97(C8) (1992) |
Abstract: | Reviews available current and hydrographic data sources for Yermak Plateau region, eastern Arctic Ocean, and describes tidal current and hydrographic variability. Discusses models possibly explaining observed energetic diurnal tides and compares these with available data. Qualitatively discusses role of tidal enhancement in region's large-scale heat and momentum budgets. |
