Abstract: From new palynological results and comparisons with previously published data, steppe and semi-desert vegetation at end of last glacial period are described, as well as plant communities of 15 to 13 ka. Dry climate caused glacial retreat before 30 ka. Deglaciation was continuous up to 15 to 14 ka, without any readvance around 20 to 18  ka.
