Record #117296:

Restricted Arctic sea ice during deposition of the Late Pleistocene Flaxman Member of the Gubik Formation, Alaska / L.D. Carter, J.F. Whelan.

Title: Restricted Arctic sea ice during deposition of the Late Pleistocene Flaxman Member of the Gubik Formation, Alaska / L.D. Carter, J.F. Whelan.
Author(s): Carter, L. D.
Whelan, J. F.
Date: 1992.
In: Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1992.), Vol. 73(14, spring meeting supplement) (1992)
Abstract: Abstract only. Available evidence suggests that this glaciomarine deposit occurring along Beaufort Sea coast (and inland) was deposited 80 ka BP. Enrichment of shells with δ¹⁸O imply less summer sea ice and longer open-water period, which would have permitted more extensive mixing of inner- and middle-shelf water with deeper isotopically heavier water.
Notes:
