Abstract: Abstract only. One-dimensional radiative--convective atmospheric model is coupled to sea-ice thickness distribution model to investigate sensitivity of Arctic climate to sea-ice parameterizations. For some parameters, model reproduces basic features of Arctic Ocean climate, such as winter inversion. Sensitivity of equilibrium winter-surface temperatures to increased greenhouse-gas concentrations varies with ice-thickness distribution parameterizations.
