| Abstract: | Abstract only. Discusses application of high-precision mass spectrophotometric techniques to measure ²³⁸U--²³⁴U--²³⁰Th--²²⁶Ra and ²³⁵U--²³¹Pa disequilibria in polar ice. Initial experiments have focused on ways to isolate quantitatively ²³⁴U, ²³⁰Th, ²²⁶Ra and ²³¹Pa dissolved in ice with minimal dissolution of dust. |
