Record #117286:

Lateral and vertical distribution of permafrost on the Qinghai-Xizang (Tibet) plateau: a geophysical investigation / Y. Huang, M.-K. Seguin.

Title: Lateral and vertical distribution of permafrost on the Qinghai-Xizang (Tibet) plateau: a geophysical investigation / Y. Huang, M.-K. Seguin.
Author(s): Huang, Y.
Seguin, M. -K.
Date: 1992.
In: Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1992.), Vol. 73(14, spring meeting supplement) (1992)
Abstract: Abstract only. Thickness of permafrost measured by means of deep electrical resistivity and induced polarization soundings. Soils have high salinity in this semi-desert. This investigation demonstrated that induced polarization is reliable method of mapping top and base of permafrost in saline terrestrial environment.
Notes:

Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. Vol. 73(14, spring meeting supplement) :120 (1992).

Keywords: 551.341 -- Permafrost and frozen ground, equipment for investigating.
551.34 -- Geocryology. Frozen ground.
551.345 -- Permafrost. Cryopedology.
551.345-032.26 -- Brine in permafrost.
551.345.1 -- Permafrost, surveys.
E8 -- Glaciology: frost action and permafrost.
(510) -- People's Republic of China.
(515) -- Tibet.
