Record #117246:

The last glacial maximum on Spitsbergen, Svalbard / Jan Mangerud, and 9 others.

Title: The last glacial maximum on Spitsbergen, Svalbard / Jan Mangerud, and 9 others.
Author(s): Mangerud, Jan.
Date: 1992.
In: Quaternary Research. (1992.), Vol. 38(1) (1992)
Abstract: Aim was to contribute to resolution of controversy on limit of Late Weichselian glaciation, based on evidence from field work along Van Mijenfjorden and Isfjorden which provided new stratigraphic data for re-evaluation of earlier observations, as well as samples for extensive dating programme. Also presents earlier published results, especially relevant radiocarbon dates. Concludes that glaciation was more extensive than hitherto thought.
