Record #117033:
Micro-relief on a rock glacier, Dalton Range, Yukon, Canada / P.G. Johnson.
Title: | Micro-relief on a rock glacier, Dalton Range, Yukon, Canada / P.G. Johnson. |
Author(s): | Johnson, P. G. |
Date: | 1992. |
In: | Permafrost and Periglacial Processes. (1992.), Vol. 3(1) (1992) |
Abstract: | Micro-relief provides evidence of processes occurring during and after development of rock glacier. Ridges, mounds, and flow lobes are interpreted as indicators of either continuing deformation or reactivation of ice core, solifluction of surface deposits, or changes in internal hydrological system of rock glacier. Glacial rather than periglacial origin for ice core is preferred. |
Notes: | Permafrost and Periglacial Processes. Vol. 3(1) :41-47 (1992). |
Keywords: | 551.34 -- Geocryology. Frozen ground. 551.343.4 -- Rock glaciers. E8 -- Glaciology: frost action and permafrost. (*41) -- Canada. (*430) -- Yukon Territory. |
