Title: Source, density and composition of sympagic fauna in the Barents Sea / Ole J. Lønne, Bjørn Gulliksen.
Author(s): Lønne, Ole J.
Gulliksen, Bjørn.
Date: 1992.
In: Polar Research. (1992.), Vol. 10(1) (1992)
Abstract: Sympagic (=with ice) fauna investigated during nine cruises, 1982-88. Most abundant sympagic organisms were Boreogadus saida and three amphipods, Apherusa glacialis, Onisimus sp. and Gammarus wilkitzkii. Discusses variations in density and relative distribution, and compares findings with similar data from perennial sea-ice zone further north.
