Date: 1992.
In: Polar Research. (1992.), Vol. 10(1) (1992)
Abstract: Coastal Zone Color Scanner (CZCS) imagery for 1979 and 1980 is analyzed with respect to meridional zonation of Barents Sea (defined by coastal current, North Atlantic water, Polar Front, and seasonally variable marginal ice zone). Data are interpreted with respect to sea-ice observations for same periods determined by scanning multichannel microwave radiometer (both flown on Nimbus-7 satellite). Meridional zonation noted in CZCS imagery was also evaluated with respect to detailed bio-optical-physical profiles and sections measured along 31°30′E in May and June 1987.
