Simulation of currents, ice melting, and vertical mixing in the Barents Sea using a 3-D baroclinic model / Kjell Støle-Hansen, Dag Slagstad.
Title: | Simulation of currents, ice melting, and vertical mixing in the Barents Sea using a 3-D baroclinic model / Kjell Støle-Hansen, Dag Slagstad. |
Author(s): | Støle-Hansen, Kjell. Slagstad, Dag. |
Date: | 1992. |
In: | Polar Research. (1992.), Vol. 10(1) (1992) |
Abstract: | Describes model, which is adapted to Barents Sea and includes thermodynamics and atmospheric input. Freezing and melting of sea ice are allowed for. Main task was to examine development of ice cover, vertical mixing, and vertical and horizontal density gradients for spring and early summer, when algal growth is active. |
