Record #116964:

Seafloor temperature and conductivity data from Stefansson Sound, Alaska / Paul V. Sellmann, Allan J. Delaney, Edwin J. Chamberlain, Kenneth H. Dunton.

Title: Seafloor temperature and conductivity data from Stefansson Sound, Alaska / Paul V. Sellmann, Allan J. Delaney, Edwin J. Chamberlain, Kenneth H. Dunton.
Author(s): Sellmann, Paul V.
Delaney, Allan J.
Chamberlain, Edwin J.
Dunton, Kenneth H.
Date: 1992.
In: Cold Regions Science and Technology. (1992.), Vol. 20(3) (1992)
Abstract: Overconsolidated sediments, seasonal sea-floor freezing, and ice-bonded permafrost in shallow Arctic waters are related to low sea-water temperatures and varying salinities. Presents and interprets measurements from recent deployment of three instruments in Stefansson Sound and from earlier deployment which included sites in Harrison Bay. Essential for understanding of influence on seabed engineering properties.
