Record #116890:
The thermal regime of intertidal permafrost, George River estuary, Ungava Bay, Quebec / Michel Allard, Richard Fortier, Maurice K. Seguin.
Title: | The thermal regime of intertidal permafrost, George River estuary, Ungava Bay, Quebec / Michel Allard, Richard Fortier, Maurice K. Seguin. |
Author(s): | Allard, Michel. Fortier, Richard. Seguin, Maurice K. |
Date: | 1992. |
In: | Canadian Journal of Earth Sciences. (1992.), Vol. 29(2) (1992) |
Abstract: | Describes environmental setting of permafrost in tidal-marsh sediments, illustrating unusual geomorphological features that allow discontinuous permafrost bodies to be detected in tidal marshes. Describes representative example of thermal regime of soil. From these data, factors that control thermal regime of permafrost in intertidal zone are discussed. |
